Be The Change You Want

Hi, I’m Sharon, a specialist self-esteem and ADHD therapist in Nottingham.

Welcome! I’m glad you found Therapy Hour, a space for you to grow into the best version of yourself, one hour at a time.

My approach

Neurodiversity-affirming: I don't view ADHD as something to "fix." My goal is to help you understand your brain, work with your strengths, and develop strategies that actually fit how you think.

Specialized for professionals: I understand workplace demands, career ambitions, and the unique pressures of managing ADHD in professional environments.

Evidence-based: I use proven therapeutic approaches including CBT for ADHD, compassion-focused therapy, and executive function coaching, all adapted through an ADHD-informed lens.

Comprehensive assessments: My ADHD diagnostic assessments follow gold-standard protocols and provide detailed reports suitable for workplace accommodations, medication referrals, and treatment planning.

Practical & collaborative: ADHD-informed therapy isn't just talking, we develop real-world tools, systems, and mindset shifts that integrate into your daily life.

My passion for this work is deeply personal. I've witnessed how life-changing it is when someone finally receives an ADHD diagnosis that explains a lifetime of struggles, or when ADHD-informed therapy actually addresses the real challenges of living with a neurodivergent brain in a neurotypical world.

Why I specialize in ADHD-informed therapy

I've worked with countless intelligent, capable professionals spend years believing they're broken, lazy, or not trying hard enough. When actually, their brain just works differently.

ADHD in adults, especially high-functioning professionals, often goes undiagnosed or misunderstood. You've likely developed sophisticated coping mechanisms and workarounds, but underneath, you're exhausted from constantly compensating, masking, and feeling like you're falling short.

I created Therapy Hour because you deserve:

  • A proper ADHD assessment that takes your experience seriously

  • ADHD-informed therapy that understands how overwhelming it feels to juggle a busy mind, constant distractions and the heavy weight of self-criticism

  • Strategies that work for ADHD brains (not neurotypical advice repackaged)

  • A space where struggling doesn't mean failing

More about me

Originally from the North East of England, I am now based in Nottingham with my husband and two children. I find enjoyment in the small things, including my morning coffee (a daily ritual), being out in nature, long walks with my family and being by the coast when back in the north. I have recently started my running journey and have signed up to the Great North Run in 2026 (raising money for the Stroke Association - a charity close to my heart). While at home, when I’m not busy being a mum and juggling the chaos of two kids, I enjoy sitting down to read a good book or watching a dark thriller.
